Here we go again with some fresh reports coming from Digitimes. This time around it’s about the rumored iPad Mini. To refresh your memory, said iPad Mini is supposed to have a smaller screen display, particularly measuring 7.85-inch. Now, Digitimes is reporting that aside from the size, the screen of the iPad Mini might be using “G/F2″ thin-film touch technology.

Company named Nitto is said to be supplying the key thin-film materials and Nissha Printing and TPK will be producing the touch screens. Due to the thin-film requirement, previous touch module supplier of iPad, Wintek will not be supplying this time for the iPad Mini.

What will the G/F2 touch technology bring to the iPad Mini. For one, it will bring down the cost of the making the iPad Mini. It will also make the tablet thinner than the iPad and iPad 2 since it will be having one less layer of film.

Additionally, the iPad Mini will also be more transparent and will feature better sensitivity.

Finally, Digitimes also mentioned about the iPad Mini becoming available on Q4 and that Apple will be eyeing to ship 7-10 million units of the iPad Mini this year.

Now you can slice and dice your human prey in high resolution with razor sharp graphics.

In this game, you’re not a human fighting the monsters, you are the monster. You take on the role of a Predator, and use your hunting techniques to hunt down and eliminate groups of human killers that have been flown to the planet.

The entire planet is a game preserve, and you must use Predator strength, stealth, and alien technology to tear apart deadly humans including mercenaries, assassins, death-squad soldiers, cartel enforcers, and more.

Predators is controlled with a joystick on the left for movement, and buttons on the right that control your attacks. There are several different attacks that you can execute by tapping the buttons in different ways. For example, the B button executes a dash attack, but if you’re close to an enemy, that attack will turn into a close range stabbing attack.

There are several attack combinations that you will learn throughout the game, and mastering them is imperative for success, especially at later levels.

Each level has a goal, such as slaying a certain number of enemies. Once this is complete, you will move on to new, more difficult levels with new Predator abilities and weapons, like wrist blades, combi sticks, and whips.

The controls are solid, though it can be hard, at times, to pull off complicated maneuvers that require tapping and holding, which is not easy to do on a touch screen. Levels are well balanced, and ramp up in difficulty at a decent pace, so the game is never too easy or too hard.

As in the famous movies, the Predators have a thermal view that allows them to see in the pitch dark or in the rain. You will need to use this vision carefully to take out powerful human enemies. There’s also a stealth mode, which will allow you to sneak up on unsuspecting enemies.

There are quite a few levels for you to beat, and the array of weapons keeps the game from getting stale. This is not a game for the faint of heart, however. There’s a lot of gore, and this is, at its core, a serious melee combat game.

What I liked: The Predator has a lot of moves that are done by holding down and tapping both the A and B buttons, and it’s a lot of fun to execute complicated moves.

What I didn’t like: This game was repetitive. I felt like I was repeating the same thing over and over again – hacking and slashing my way through the humans.

To buy or not to buy: I wouldn’t purchase this if you dislike violent games. There’s a lot of killing and a lot of blood, but if you love slash ‘em up type games, Predators is a great choice.

watch some good ol’ family television. The 21st century couch potato now watches TV on other devices,
including the laptop, smartphone and even the tablet! In fact, 10% of Americans watch TV shows on

Several satellite and cable TV providers have now launched apps that their subscribers watch TV shows
on their iPads. Some operators limit usage on the basis of video on demand, which plays programs after
they have been aired. But some providers like ESPN, Time Warner and Cablevision offers apps that let
you watch live TV.

The ESPN app takes it one step further and lets you watch your shows even when you’re not at home.
Although other apps, including the ones offered by PBS, HBO and Showtime, also offer this feature, they
are limited to video on demand and not live TV.

Most of these apps are available free of cost to subscribers but users might be charged for other things.
In case the user is streaming via a wireless data plan, the data limit might easily be used up quickly. Also,
Comcast and Cox limit usage on even home broadband plans. Thus, its best to watch the data usage
while watching TV programming through the internet.

But the pros overpower the cons and the freedom offered by the iPad from the idiot box is well worth it!

You can even watch TV on your iPhone or iPod Touch or even Android phones through some apps.
But keep in mind that watching TV via satellite incurs extra charges. You’ll either need to purchase a
subscription to a high-definition DVR or you can invest in a Slingbox adapter for $99.

The heroes of Rinth Island have been marooned after a terrible storm, and they must set out on an epic adventure to escape, making their way through 60 harrowing levels with several different gameplay modes.

The game takes place in a tropical-like setting, with a series of round structures that you must traverse, flipping switches, sliding blocks, and climbing ladders to get to the end point of each level.

Rinth Island’s controls are decent, but imperfect. You can use touch screen controls (tapping on the screen to move) or a d-pad, and I found that the d-pad was both more responsive and easier to handle.

Rinth Island uses 2-D and 3-D graphics in unison to create some unique, circular puzzles that can be quite challenging due to the level makeup – you can’t see the entire level at once because of its tubelike shape, and often you will need to interact with objects that you are unable to see. Because of this, if you make a mistake you’ll need to reset the level (or purchase undos in-app for $0.99), but luckily levels are short so it’s not a major setback.

Because puzzles are so short, 60 levels doesn’t feel like a lot. However, Rinth Island has a gameplay mechanic, badges, that require you to beat each level in four different ways, collecting crystals, beating the clock, and more.

In addition to the existing 60 levels, players can create their own stages with the built-in level editor, which is ultra simple to use. Created levels can be shared with friends, for a nearly unlimited amount of gameplay, making Rinth Island a game that you can play for quite some time.

What I liked: I enjoyed beating each level in four different ways, which made the short stages feel much longer. It was fun switching things up and playing with a different goal in mind each time. The graphics are crisp and colorful, and the characters are well-designed and fun to play.

What I didn’t like: This game charges for extra gameplay mechanics, like undos, hints, and level skipping. I don’t mind the charges for additional costumes, but basic gameplay mechanics should not cost an extra $0.99.

To buy or not to buy: Rinth Island is free for a limited time, so downloading it is a no-brainer. Even at $0.99, this fun, innovative game is worth the purchase price. It’s an absolute must have for puzzle lovers.
